Mindtours exists as a vehicle for musicians and artists to project their creative energy into a changing world, and sooth the growing pains of a rapidly evolving species.
We release deep soulful funky organic electronic music, and organise events.

~ Coming soon - the new Mindtours website !!!!! - you've probably noticed that we've been quiet for the last few months, well its been a combination of the workload in organising the Freerotation Festival, and the need to be in the studio making music. Well our new website will be up and running soon, with some exciting news for the new year, including all the planned releases. Check back soon !!!!

~ DJ Stesh R.I.P. we have just learned the sad news of the passing away of DJ Stesh, the inspirational electrofunk DJ who along with Steevio ran The Sidewalk club in Newcastle in the early 1980's. Stesh was an inspiration to the youth of Newcastle, giving them a creative focus at weekends, in a climate of teenage violence which was prevalent at the time. Stesh was a total star, and probably one of the first electrofunk DJs outside of the US. .... facebook group

~ All previously announced vinyl projects are still on track, but due to the current unstable market situation, the release schedule is being stretched out, but you can be sure we are doing our bit to keep vinyl alive.

~ MT06 Back by popular demand !!! The 2003 Mindtours release is being re-issued as a limited edtion (100 copies) white label. This record was originally only available in the UK, and such has been its popularity of late, that we decided to issue a small run for you discerning vinyl heads. Half of these are available from the legendary Freebase Records of Frankfurt, the rest directly from us via this site releases and Discogs, as of October 3rd - but hurry ! they wont last.

~ NEW MISSION STATEMENT !!! Freerotation has again taken over our lives, and the workload is causing further delays with our release schedule. So rather than promise any specific dates for releases, we'd just like to let you know that we are hoping to have at least one vinyl release and a netaudio release before the festival, followed by two further vinyl releases late summer, early autumn. Still scheduled for release: Mindtours 12 featuring Tom Ellis, Joe Ellis and Steevio, Freerotation 2x12" album featuring artists appearing at the Freerotation Festival, and Rogue Patterns Vol 3 - Steevio. ~ We'd like to thank everyone who helped make the Freerotation festival a storming success, that includes the artists, crew, stewards, the staff at Baskerville Hall and of course the increadibly friendly festival goers themselves. What an amazing event ! The festival will be held next year at the same venue ! August 8/9/10th---Photos coming soon !!

~ MT12 - Due to a heavy gig schedule recently, we've had to delay the release of MT12 yet again. We have also decided to change one side of the release, it will now feature two different tracks from Steevio and Tom Ellis, and the original side will be released as a limited edition later.

~ MT12 coming in March (listen to clips here !)- in a change to the previously announced release schedule, MT12 will now be a 12" e.p. featuring 2 tracks from Tom Ellis (Trimsound, Mindtours, Morris Audio, Minordust, Logistic, Telegraph, Moonharbour, Floppyfunk), one from Steevio, and one from Joe Ellis. The previously announced double12" Free Rotation album has been put back for release in the early summer as part of the promotion for an electronic audio-visual arts festival we are organising for September 7/8/9th , and will feature many of the artists who will perform at the event. ~ After a storming set at NetAudio 06, Steevio and Suzybee are locked in the studio for the next couple of months, so there will be no gigs till Spring when they will embark on much anticipated gigs in Germany.
