About Mindtours -

Mindtours the label was originally conceived in 2000 with the object of releasing quality electronic music, with most of the early releases falling into the deep techno category. The label has since evolved to cover much wider territory with the introduction of new artists, and is now a thriving non-profit making collective of musicians and artists.

Mindtours has built a firm reputation for hosting quality events in Wales, and our roster of artists has gradually swelled to include the likes of Sud Electronic's Portable and Lakuti, Sud and Karloff's Lump, Trimsound's Leif, Tom Ellis and Joe Ellis, Grimes and Duckett of Mindyourhead Records, Electronique Audio's Tom Demac, and Suade of Adapted Vinyl.

Our music philospophy, while broad and diffused in generic terms, enveloping minimal house, deep techno, broken beat, jazz, dub etc. is however driven by a desire to send out a signal of harmony, co-creation and peace to the world. We hope that our music and art convey this message, as we firmly believe that music is a powerful uniting force for mankind, in a world torn apart by the ignorance of a handful of greedy or misguided individuals, whether they be religious, political, or corporate leaders (well apart from the Roland lot, i mean where would we be without those guys), and a blind disregard for the welfare of the planet which is our home.

For anyone wishing to send us demos to be considered for possible release on Mindtours, we'd like you to know that we are not attracted to music which strictly adheres to obvious generic forms ( eg Tibetan Nose Flute Music ). Our sound is constantly evolving, and we are always looking for fresh ideas, and innovative approaches to rhythm and sound. To us, experimental ideas and the dance floor do not have to be mutually exclusive.We started on this mission with a love of the transendental power of dance music, but repetition of ideas can all too quickly stagnate, so the driving force behind this label is a natural organic evolution of creative ideas, using the technology we so fortunately have at our fingertips. How lucky are we ??
